The brief was to create an illustration poster for a ballot of your choice, after many consideration I felt I was mostly drawn to the Romeo and Juliet story line. The story is widely complicated and connects human psyche of the perception of true love.

I took the story in a different direction than the traditional ballet shoes with love hearts which I was doing in the beginning, I wanted something more modern and to stand out from the crowd. I noticed when I was designing and researching this project, many of the posters for ballet don’t show the actor or actress is faces, and I was shocked at this, so I wanted to see if I could dive in and create something new, as designing I needed a theme to collect the idea of showing the faces, I came across glitch art and thought that is the theme I want to bring my concept to life, bringing the poster to younger and modern audiences.
