Peter Saville is one of the most interesting designers that I have found to date, I have loved his work from when he first started with “use hearing protection” poster for the factory, to his work with Joy division.

He is in a place where I believe all designers want to be in control of everything, not having any restraints to work off of, complete freedom to do whatever you want.

I believe that is the essential element to make a successful design, and not to be so constraint into what is already out there that people are accustomed to seeing. With the work of Peter Saville you can see the diversity and experimentation with his work and that is why he is so popular because it is something unique and different.

I know peters work has influenced me to take out the clutter, find a unique balance so the work can speak for itself. Don’t shove so much information into the design, learn to step back from it and start taking away bits and pieces that are not needed.
